EP15: Nicole Jocleen

Nicole Jocleen is a Lawton native who didn’t consider herself a writer until her mom casually described her as one as she pondered what classes to take in college. Brandy talks to Nicole about the creative journey that has led her from writing stories as a kid, to the newsroom of the Southern DIGEST, to becoming the author of several books. One of these books, On the Scene, has led to a popular web series by the same name that has just wrapped up its fourth season. The two consider possible developments for season five and get to talk Oklahoma Hip Hop in anticipation of Nicole’s most recent project. Now comfortable with the title “writer”, this episode dives deeper into how her creative catalogue is expanding.
