DJ NoName and Brandy chat regarding his upbringing, start in the music industry, and how he fuels his creative talents in a variety of ways. DJ NoName was born in Tulsa, OK but raised in Dallas, Texas. He gives viewers an insight into how music influenced him while growing up. After relocating back to Tulsa, DJ Noname began to fully tap into his creativity. DJ NoName is a triple threat as a well-known DJ, phenomenal producer, and an amazing photographer. His photography has been featured in the New York Times and he is one of the founding members of Black Moon. Black Moon is a collective of Black artists in Tulsa and the platform strives to showcase their work. On the music side, DJ NoName divulges how he learned to produce beats straight off of his phone. Influenced by The Alchemist and DJ Muggs, his music is versatile, and his sample game is crazy. When hearing his production, you would think he is a veteran in the game as his music is reminiscent of some of the greats such as Kanye West and J Dilla. DJ NoName came out the gate working with Tulsa heavy hitters Dialtone and Keeng Cut. His first full project was Snackin with Flavor; a project with Keeng Cut released in 2020. The production on this project is flawless and takes the listeners on a smooth journey. DJ Noname has no sights of slowing down and he details what he has in store for 2021.
