EP16: Shaina Thomas

Shaina Thomas is a scholar, author, poet, and one of the many gems to come out of North Tulsa. Her creativity began under circumstances that were not “traditional.” However in that space Shaina describes as growing pains, both character and characters were produced as she came into her own as a person as well as a writer. Her upcoming novel centers on Tulsa’s Greenwood, the vast area known as Black Wall Street that was targeted during the Tulsa Race Riots. The author reveals updates on the book with insider info such as the new title and release date. Though Shaina is a founding educator of a secondary school in South OKC, PhD student at OU, and finishing up the last edits on the upcoming novel, she found time to share her journey on A Shot of Brandy Podcast.
