Blue is from Oklahoma City but spent a few years of his childhood living in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Blue graduated from Douglass High School and relives his glory days as a star athlete on the show. He attended Langston University and the University of Central Oklahoma and is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity. Today, Blue is a family man and successful entrepreneur. He co-founded an apparel brand called Black Umbrella with Andrew Lewis and Marc Flemon. Their motto is to develop, grow and support. Black Umbrella’s mission is to “impact the socio-economic culture by aiding in the curation of business integration for Black people.” The logo is a conversation piece and Blue explains that the concept is to “get our people under this umbrella and let’s create some dope stuff.” This is a dynamic episode and Blue’s outgoing personality shines through. You can always find Blue supporting artists, Black restaurants and other Black-owned businesses and brands from Oklahoma.
