Episode 203 features the legendary Tony Foster Jr. To whom much is given, much is required, and Tony is stewarding his gifts tremendously. The prolific singer/songwriter chats with Brandy about growing up in Oklahoma City, honing his craft, writing and recording in T Pain’s studio, Fire in Little Africa, and more. Tony has a beautiful voice, and the gospel influence is prevalent within his sound. However, Tony is not one to do be put into a box and effortlessly transcends any genre of music. Whether he is smoothly singing the hook on a rap song or belting out a soulful melody on an inspirational jam, his vocal capabilities are boundless. When he is not blessing the microphone, he can be found teaching at the University of Central Oklahoma’s Academy of Contemporary Music. He also has a clothing line called Son of the City, and the fall line will drop soon. Tony is gifted beyond measure and states, “The reason why I was given those gifts was to be able to express myself in a way that makes people connect.” His music has the ability to connect with listeners from all walks of life genuinely.
